Cyclones add former Kent State head coach to staff

Former Kent State head coach Paul Haynes will join the Iowa State football coaching staff, per a report from FootballScoop.

Haynes spent the past five seasons as Kent State’s head coach. He also played for Kent State from 1987-91.

The Golden Flashes went 14-45 in Haynes’ five years. In 2017, Kent State finished 2-10 (1-7 MAC). Haynes led the team to nine wins in conference play over the past five seasons.

Before coaching at Kent State, Haynes spent time as Arkansas’ defensive coordinator in 2012 and was at Ohio State from 2005-11.

As of now, Haynes’ position at Iowa State is unknown.
