Iowa State junior guard Bridget Carleton was named a Top-10 finalist for the Cheryl Miller Award on Wednesday.

The award, which partners with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, recognizes the best small forward in Division I women’s college basketball.

Carleton is one of three Big 12 players to make the top 10 list, joining Texas’ senior Ariel Atkins and West Virginia’s junior Teana Muldrow.

Carleton, a native of Chatham, Ontario, Canada, is leading the Cyclones in points per game (18.7), rebounds (6.9 per game), assists (3.5 per game), and steals (2.4 per game). She currently ranks 20th in Iowa State history with 1,299 career points.

Carleton is still the only player in a power-5 conference leading their team in points, rebounds and assists.

The current list of 10 will be narrowed down to five in March, and the winner of the award will be announced during ESPN2’s Final Four coverage on March 30 in Columbus, Ohio.
