After Iowa State’s 31-13 win at Texas Tech, many Cyclone fans are making a case for Ames to be home to ESPN’s College Gameday show next Saturday.

College Gameday is ESPN’s flagship college football program that travels to a new city every weekend and typically sets up camp at the site of a game that has postseason implications on the line.

And that is just what next Saturday is for TCU and Iowa State. The Horned Frogs, who are currently ranked No. 4 prior to their game today against Kansas, will arrive in Ames to face a Cyclones team that is one game away from becoming bowl eligible.

However, the only thing stopping College Gameday from being a sure thing, is the fact that the Iowa State and TCU game isn’t the only game next Saturday between two potentially ranked teams.

But there are games that could have bigger implications on the line.

Nonetheless, Iowa State fans are adamant that Ames is the place to be.

Kirk Herbstreit, a College Gameday host, even tweeted out a congratulatory tweet to the Cyclones.

ESPN typically announces the next week’s destination Saturday night.
