Ames Historical Society ‘Secrets’ lecture tonight

The Ames Historical Society will be holding the Main Street Building ‘Secrets’ lecture tonight at 7:00 P.M. in the Ames Public Library auditorium, 515 Douglas Avenue. The lecture will be presented by Historical Plaque Project researchers Sharon Wirth and Judy Gilger.

According to the Historical Society’s official website, Gilger and Wirth “uncovered many intriguing facts about downtown structures, businesses and the people who built them.” Since these facts would not fit on a plaque’s surface, the lecture will reveal this information about downtown Ames and the people who built it.

This event is being held in partnership with the Ames Public Library, and is free and open to the public.
