Police asking for help in hit-and-run case

The Ames Police Department is asking for help in identifying the suspect involved in a hit-and-run case from late March.

According to a Facebook post by the Ames Police Department, the victim was within the crosswalk at Hayward Avenue and Chamberlain Street when he was struck by a car.

The car, according to police, appeared to be a grey Chevy Impala. The accident occurred on March 25 at 1:52 a.m.

The pedestrian suffered non-life threatening injuries and is making a full recovery, police said.
