Baylor softball shutsout Cyclones

The No. 13 Baylor (34-6,7-1 Big 12) softball team defeated Iowa State (15-26, 0-8 Big 12) in game two of the weekend series Saturday.

Iowa State had base runners on third base in the first two innings, but were unable to capitalize.

Baylor struck first in the bottom of the second inning, scoring three runs to get out to an early lead.

The Bears would add two more runs to their lead in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings to pull ahead, 7-0.

Iowa State was unable to get things going on offense as the Bears shutout the Cyclones, 7-0.

The Cyclones return to action Sunday for game three against the Bears at noon.
