Hawkeye Invitational cut short due to weather, Voke in run to medal

The Iowa Cyclones are in fourth spot out of 15 teams after the first round and part of the second round of the Hawkeye Invitational scoring 239.
The Cyclones are eight shots from first place, Big12 rival No.11 Texas Tech (285) , seven from No.43 Kansas (286) and four from in-state Rival Iowa (289).
The competition was cut short due to the storms over Iowa.
Competition will conclude with the rest of the second round and the third-round tomorrow.
Senior Nick Voke is playing his last regular season tournament and he is posting a 4-under 68 to hold for now the third place in the individual’s competition.
In the first round of competition, Voke had three birdies and fired up an eagle on the 418- yard third hole.
Along with Voke, follows Sam Vincent scoring a 74 on the first round currently tied for 29th.
Ruben Sondjaja is tied for 41st spot after scoring a 75, Tripp Kinney is tied for 50th spot after scoring 76, and Denzel Ieremia scored a 77 to end up in 59th spot.
The scores as of right now of the second round could not added up since the tournament will conclude starting tomorrow.
Third round will start tomorrow pending on the weather.
