It’s been a rollercoaster couple weeks for the Cyclone Hockey team to start the new semester.

After a five-game losing streak that seemed to take the life out of the team, the Cyclones responded with two wins in a row over No. 7 Robert Morris.

But they couldn’t keep the recent success going against Lindenwood, the defending ACHA Champion, on Friday Night. The Cyclones were shutout 5-0.

Lindenwood scored 7:55 into the game, thanks to a goal from Lukas Daniels who was standing at the point. After a goal in the slot by Alexander Carlsson, the Cyclones trailed 2-0 heading into the first intermission.

Lukas Daniels scored once more in the second, owning the lone goal in the middle frame.

If that wasn’t enough, Lindenwood added two more goals early on in the third, to clinch the win for the Lions.

Cyclone Hockey’s Trevor Sabo and Lindenwood’s Kevin Walters were both ejected from the game.

The two teams will face each other again on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
