How to get back into the school year

Isd Special Sections

Syllabus week is over, and that means it’s time to buckle down with your textbooks and get ready for the new semester.

Buy a planner or calendar

Right off the bat, you can write down all of the dates for your exams, quizzes and homework assignments. Doing this ahead of time can save much needed time and energy down the road.

Don’t plan to skip

Even though it’s cold, keep a motivated mindset from the start, and don’t fall into the habit of skipping early on.

Get into a sleeping schedule

Going to class is easier after a good night’s sleep. Try to go to bed at the same time every night to keep your internal clock in check.

Set a budget for the semester

Don’t get yourself into the position of having to donate plasma. Set a budget to ensure your financial well-being.

Don’t forget to have fun

This semester doesn’t have to be all work and no play. Make time for yourself to be with friends and skip the winter blues.
