Iowa State off to a hot start in Big 12 Championship

After round one of the Big 12 Championship in San Antonio, Texas, the ISU women’s golf team finds itself alone in first place on top of the team leaderboard and with three golfers in the top 10 on the individual leaderboard.

Iowa State finished the round with a score of 287 (-1), just one stroke ahead of Oklahoma State and Texas, who are tied for 2nd place.

The Cyclones were lead in scoring by freshman Chayanit Wangmahaporn and sophomore Nattapan Siritrai, who both finished with a round score of 71 (-1) and tied for 3rd on the individual leaderboard.

The top of the individual leaderboard is held by Kansas State junior Madison Talley, Talley ended the round with a score of 69 (-3).

The tournament resumes tomorrow with the second round of the tournament and continues through Sunday April, 24. Check back with the Iowa State Daily for round coverage and results.
