Cyclones in 4th after second round of SMU Invitational

Despite Iowa State finishing the round 23 strokes over par with a score of 598, the Cyclones still find themselves in 4th place. The Cyclones currently sit 2 strokes behind 2nd place UNLV and 21 strokes behind the leaders Oklahoma State.

After the second round of the SMU Invitational no teams have a score under par. Despite the high scores, the competition is still tight. The teams in 2nd through 9th place on the leaderboard are separated by only 13 strokes.

The Cyclones are led in scoring by freshman Chayanit Wangmahaporn, who has a tournament total of 145 (+1) and is tied for 6th on the individual leaderboard. The second place scorer for Iowa State is sophomore Nattapan Siritrai who finished the round with a total score of 149 (+5) and is tied for 16th.

The top of the individual leaderboard is held by Kansas senior Yupaporn Kawinpakorn with a score of 137 (-7).
