ISU women’s golf in 2nd with one round left at Miami Invitational

The ISU women’s golf team finished their second round in Miami with a score of 286 (+2). Combined with their first round score the team sits at 567 (-1) and in second on the team leaderboard.

Despite remaining in second and being able to keep their team total under par, Northwestern was able to extend its lead over the rest of the field. The Wildcats shot a second round score of 275 (-9), bringing their team total to 552 (-16) throughout the tournament.

Iowa State was lead on scoring by freshman Parinda Phokan and freshman Chayanit Wangmahaporn who both shot rounds of 70 (-1). Phokan currently sits at 139 (-3) and in fifth place on the leaderboard. Wangmahaporn has a score of 141 (-1) and is tied for sixth.

The top of the leaderboard for the second consecutive day is held by Northwestern sophomore Hannah Kim. Kim turned in a second round of 68 (-3) and has a tournament total of 135 (-7).
