During the first intermission, senior Cyclone Hockey players Jake Bruhn and co-captains Cory Sellers and Alex Stephens were recognized, along with graduating seniors of the Iowa State Hockey band.

Following the recognition at the 1:16 mark of the second period, forward Colton Kramer scored the fourth point of the game off of a feed from fellow forward Tony Uglem.

The Cyclones scored their fifth and final point of the night at 3:40 of the third period. The goal came from forward Nick Sandy with an assist by Sabo.

Then, within the final seconds of the game, Sam Cyr-Ledoux of the Express scored but it wasn’t enough.
