Cyclones finished tied for 5th at Central Florida Challenge

The ISU women’s golf team finished in fifth place after posting a score of 304, 16 above par, in the final round of the UCF Challenge in Central Florida on Wednesday. It finished with a score of 892, 28 strokes above par. 

The Cyclones finished just seven strokes shy of first-place finishers Houston, which shot a total of 295 for the final day and 885 for the entire tournament.

Iowa State was led by sophomore Celia Barquin, who posted a third-round score of 74 and finished the tournament tied for 11th place with a score of 221 overall. The Cyclones were also led by freshman Chayanit Wangmahaporn, who shot a final round score of 76, four above par, bringing her tournament total to 220 and a spot tied for 6th place.
