5 ways to keep your car clean

Jessica Drendel

1. Wash your car after every snowfall, but wait until the snow settles down. Also, try to wash it every week to keep salt from building up.

2. Don’t forget the inside of your car. Floor mats, cracks and crevices, your dashboard and your seats are all important parts of your car to make sure you clean.

3. Your undercarriage is the underside of your car and is susceptible to rust. It’s a good idea to do a thorough undercarriage wash after each winter.

4. Know what products you’re putting on your car. You wouldn’t wash your hair with dish soap, so don’t wash your car with it either.

5. Your car should be waxed twice a year, one of those times being spring. Don’t use anything other than a microfiber cloth to wipe it off though.
