Letter to the Editor: Why students should vote for City Council

Why should students vote in the City Council election next Tuesday?

Because City Council members’ votes affect your lives every day:

• They help make decisions about CyRide bus service

• They decide where to place bike trails and make other transportation decisions

• They regulate Campustown businesses and off-campus student housing

• They decide what public spaces will have free Wi-Fi

• They make contracts with Internet access companies off campus

• They determine how and where the city will grow, and where parks will be

And you might want to stay in Ames and work after you finish school.

No excuses.
