Cyclone Hockey finished off a sweep of defending national champion Central Oklahoma Saturday night winning 5-4.

The Cyclones got on the scoreboard courtesy of Tony Uglem on a first period power-play goal.

Zack Johnson, Jake Uglem and Jake Bruhn added to the Cyclone scoring putting Cyclone Hockey up 4-1 after the second period and in complete control of the game.

Central Oklahoma wouldn’t concede defeat quietly however, adding two goals in the third period to pull within one score with five minutes remaining in the game.

The Bronchos pulled its goaltender to gain a 6-on-5 advantage but Tony Uglem made Central Oklahoma pay with an empty net goal to seal the Cyclone Hockey victory.

Central Oklahoma added a late goal with seven seconds left but the damage had already been done and the Cyclones remained undefeated on the season.

Cyclone Hockey will play host to No. 2 Ohio (6-0) for a double header next weekend at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena.
