Carleton hosts Canadian Thanksgiving

Freshman Bridget Carleton has settled in at Iowa State. She has made a mark on the court and began the bonding process with her teammates off the court.

On October 11, 2015, Carleton’s parents decided to travel to Ames in celebration of Canadian Thanksgiving. Carleton sent out a text in the ISU women’s basketball team’s group message, inviting everyone over to her apartment for turkey and a good time.

The entire team showed up with excitement and curiosity—how does Canadian Thanksgiving differ from U.S. Thanksgiving? The answer is not by a whole lot. It’s actually the exact same, according to Carleton.

Carleton’s parents, Rob and Carrie, led the team on the Canadian Thanksgiving. Everyone ate, laughed and bonded over turkey.

Drake’s music might as well have been playing in the background as the Canadian superstar, otherwise known as the 6 God, seemed to be there in spirit as the the ISU women’s basketball team enjoyed its Canadian feast.
