President Obama will be in Iowa next Monday to talk about education in Des Moines.

Obama will appear alongside Education Secretary Arne Duncan at a previously announced event at North High School in Des Moines. The Department of Education described the event as a town hall with the opportunity to discuss college access and affordability.

In an email sent out by the White House Tuesday, Obama said he is looking forward to speaking with high school juniors and seniors “gearing up for college” who are trying to “figure out how to pay for it.”

Secretary Duncan and other administration officials are embarking on nationwide tour to speak at schools, which starts Monday morning in Kansas City, and also includes an event in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday.

The event is scheduled for Monday afternoon, and more specific details will be released later this week.
