Now-redshirt sophomore Jadda Buckley and now-redshirt freshman Claire Ricketts were granted medical redshirts for the 2014-15 season, Iowa State announced Wednesday.

Buckley suffered a stress fracture in her right foot during the non-conference season. She tried to battle through it while pursuing a redshirt, playing in nine games and starting the first seven, but decided to sit out the rest of the season.

The Mason City, Iowa, guard averaged 9.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

Ricketts fractured her wrist in the first game of the ISU season against USC Upstate, but managed to play in three games.

The 6-foot-3 forward played 23 minutes for the Cyclones, pulling down four rebounds and dropping four points.
