Harrison Barnes Day Kick-Off

As proclaimed recently by Mayor Ann Campbell,

July 13 as “Harrison Barnes Day” to recognize former Ames High School basketball player and current Golden State Warriors professional athlete. 

In June the Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in the best-of-seven series to win the 2015 NBA Championship. 

Monday July 13, Harrison Barnes Day will kick-off with a presentation by Mayor Pro Tem Matthew Goodman at the City Hall Council Chambers, at 8:30 a.m.

All members of the public are welcome to attend. Upon the end of the presentation, Barnes will spend the rest of the day visiting other organizations. 

The final event of the day will be an autograph signing from 4:30 to 6:30 in the Ames High School Cafeteria. Anyone wishing to participate is to arrive prior to 6:15 p.m.
