Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne has landed the lead role of Newt Scamander in “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” a movie trilogy based on the “Harry Potter” saga.

Redmayne’s role includes him playing the Wizarding World’s preeminent magizoologist, discovering magical creatures around the world and documenting them in his book, a book which Harry Potter and other Hogwarts students use throughout the central “Harry Potter” saga.

The script for the first movie will be written by J.K. Rowling herself, and director of the last four “Harry Potter” movies, David Yates, will also return to the magical set.

The first chapter of the trilogy is set to hit theaters on Nov. 18, 2016.
