High jumper concludes ISU action at nationals with top-20 finish

Success came in threes for Marine Vallet at the NCAA Outdoor Championship in Eugene, Ore. on Saturday.

The ISU sophomore concluded action for the Cyclones at the national meet with an appearance in the high jump. 

Vallet cleared the first height — 5 feet 7.75 inches — on her third and final attempt over the bar. She was one of 23 jumpers to advance to the next height.

With the conclusion of her sophomore season on the line again in her third attempt over the second height, Vallet moved on, clearing 5 feet 9.75 inches.

Vallet was eliminated from competition on the third height of 5 feet 11.25 inches, earning a tie for 17th place.
