The ISU women’s track and field team added two more to the list of athletes headed to the NCAA Outdoor Championship in Eugene, Ore., on June 10-13.

Senior Kendra White and sophomore Marine Vallet join freshman Jhoanmy Luque and redshirt senior Katy Moen as the four ISU athletes who have earned a qualifying bid to nationals.

White led off for the Cyclones in the 400-meter dash on Friday, clocking a personal record in her third straight meet this season. Her time of 52.40 placed her ninth among the 24 competitors competing in the quarterfinal.

Sophomore Marine Vallet earned her qualifying bid to the national meet after finishing 10th in the high jump with a mark of 5 feet 10 inches.

Despite setting personal records, freshman Evelyne Guay and junior Alyssa Gonzalez were unable to qualify for Eugene in the 800-meter run and 400-meter hurdles, respectively.

Luque will begin the final day of the NCAA West Preliminaries for Iowa State in the triple jump at 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Senior Christina Hillman, junior Perez Rotich and redshirt freshman Erin Hooker will follow in the shot put, 1,500-meter run and 5,000-meter run, respectively.
