Mac DeMarco announces new album

Popular indie artist Mac Demarco recently announced the follow up to his hugely successful 2014 LP Salad Days. The new album will be called Another One and was written and recorded by DeMarco during short amounts of time in between touring. The record was produced in Far Rockaway, Queens at the artist’s home. The subject matter of Another One is said to be about dealing with love and heartbreak, two rather serious concepts that DeMarco will cover in an undoubtedly playful manor.

Another One is going to be an eight-song release and will be out August 7 via Captured Tracks. The iTunes pre-order for the mini-LP includes instrumental versions of every track.

Despite the fact that he has become well known for projecting a slacker lifestyle, this clearly is far from the truth as DeMarco has released two full-length albums and two EPs in only a few years, and he is showing no signs of taking a break. He has also been frequently touring and made his debut television appearance on Conan recently.

In summer 2015, DeMarco will be performing at several festivals including Pitchfork Music Festival, Outside Lands and Bonnaroo. He recently performed at Coachella as well. Listed below are his upcoming tour dates.
