ISU club basketball unable to complete deep run at nationals

The ISU club basketball team traveled to Pittsburgh, PA on April 10-12 to compete in the National Club Basketball National Championships.

In the opening round, the team squared off against defending national champions, Virginia Tech. The Cyclones easily won the game with a final score of 78-61.

In the semifinal matchup against Kentucky, the Iowa State found itself down early and could not rally. The team’s season ended with a 76-72 loss.

East Carolina went on to defeat Kentucky in the championship game and claimed the 2015 NCBBA national title.
