Notable achievements for ISU men’s golf in South Carolina

No. 47/55 Iowa State took third place out of 15 teams on March 10 at the Myrtle Beach Holiday General Hackler Championship in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Nick Voke took co-medalist honors with a four-under-par tournament total.

Below are some notable achievements from Iowa State’s performance:

– Voke recorded the fourth individual victory or co-victory for Iowa State in seven events. Voke and Scott Fernandez each have two victories.

– With a seven-under-par round of 65, Voke broke the course record at The Dunes Club and recorded the best round of the tournament by two shots.

– Voke posted the fourth seven-under-par round in Iowa State, which is the lowest score in relation to par in school history.

– Scott Fernandez tied for fourth place, finishing three shots behind Voke and the leaders. He picked up his 25th career collegiate top-10, which adds to his record at Iowa State.
