“Kingdom Hearts 3” update

Since the announcements of “Kingdom Hearts 3” at the 2013 E3 event, Square Enix’s project has become one of the most anticipated games in a long time.

Working closely with Disney Studios, Square Enix has built up anticipation around the main character, Sora, as well as what Disney worlds and characters we’ll get to see in this third installment. Developers have teased fans over previous months about the possible inclusion of Darth Vader or even Elsa from “Frozen.” Square Enix, however, has not confirmed those rumors.

One of the best updates about the game comes from the game’s co-director and designer Tai Yasue, who says that they are hiring new people frequently and making sure the longevity of gameplay is diverse and long-lasting. This news is significant in today’s gaming world because developers tend to release short games and continuously make poor games due to pre-ordering and DLC profits.

Not much has been revealed in either the E3 trailer for the game or the D23 Japan trailer, other than that the graphics have improved to look more like the cut scenes in previous games. The only other insights are Sora fighting a rock colossus on a flying train, maneuvering a pirate ship and working with his classic sidekicks Donald and Goofy. Other than that, fans are left with the question of how Sora obtained the Master Keeper keyblade, which originally belonged to Master Eraqus.

Rumors have spread across the Internet and even on Amazon that the game will be released in December 2015, but nothing has been confirmed and fans know that they shouldn’t get their hopes too high, as they’ve been waiting for this game for about a decade. The game will be released on XBOX One and PS4, and I have no doubt that it will deliver all of the story and nostalgia it began with.
