ISU men’s track and field performances at Iowa State Classic:

– Six personal records set

– Freshman Elijah Young in the 400-meter with a time of 49.98

– Patrick Peterson in the mile with a time of 4:02.17

– Brian Biekert also in the mile with a time of 4:02.39

– Sophomore Brandon Barnes in the 800-meter with a time of 1:51.73

– Junior Brandon Wheat in the 800-meter with a time of 1:52.12

– Junior Jan Jeuschede in the shot put with a distance of 62’ 5.75”

– Two nationally-ranked performances

– Senior Edward Kemboi ran a 1:46.09 in the 800-meter, which is ranked No. 1 in the nation.

– Redshirt senior Cameron Ostrowski high jumped a height of 7’ 3.00”, which is tied for seventh nationally.

– One first-place finish
