White highlights day two of Holiday Inn Invitational for ISU track and field

A day after posting five personal records, the ISU men’s and women’s track and field teams recorded five top-five finishes at the Holiday Inn Invitational on Jan. 17. 

Senior Kendra White claimed Iowa State’s only first place finish at day two of the invitational, finishing at the top of the women’s 400-meter dash with a time of 55.14 seconds. 

On the men’s side, the Cyclones took fifth place in the 4×400-meter relay and finished runner-up in the distance medley relay. 

Rounding out the top-five performances on the women’s side, redshirt senior Hannah Willms finished fifth in the high jump with a jump of 5’6″ and the distance medley relay team “A” finished second. 

The ISU men’s and women’s track and field teams will next compete in the Big 4 Duals at the Lied Recreation-Athletic Center on Jan. 24 at 12 p.m.
