Rick Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator, is set to be in Iowa for a five-day trip as he considers running for president again.

According to a press release sent out by the Patriot Voices PAC, which Santorum chairs, the former senator will deliver two major speeches, attend several GOP events around the state and also plans private meetings with “concerned” Iowans.

Santorum kicks off his trip this Saturday, Jan. 24, delivering a speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit, being hosted by Citizens United and U.S. Rep. Steve King. Another 22 other conservatives are set to speak at the event, as well.

Later in the evening, Santorum is scheduled to be a special guest with the Cherokee County Republican Party’s “Pie and Politics” event in Aurelia.

On Sunday, the 25th, Santorum is the featured speaker at the annual Siouxland Rally in Sioux City at 3:30 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., Santorum is set to hold a screening for the documentary “One Generation Away.” Santorum is the CEO of EchoLight Studios, the company that produced the documentary.

On Monday, the 26th, Santorum will be in the Quad Cities at 12:30 p.m. to attend the Scott Country Lincoln Club luncheon in Davenport. At 3:30 p.m., Santorum is set to return to a frequent campaign “pit stop” from his 2012 campaign, the Java Lounge, in Williamsburg.

Santorum wraps up his trip on the 27. He will attend and speak at the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association conference at 11:30 a.m. The speech will focus on utilizing America’s energy resources, which Santorum says will revitalize America’s manufacturing industry, help hard-working Americans and secure the U.S. from foreign sources of energy.

Santorum served two-terms in the United States Senate, representing Pennsylvania from 1995 until 2007. Santorum was defeated while running for a third-term in 2006.

Santorum launched a 2012 presidential campaign and won almost a dozen primaries, including narrowly defeating eventual 2012 nominee Mitt Romney, in the Iowa’s caucus.
