Safety T.J. Mutcherson has been dismissed from the football team for a violation of team rules, ISU coach Paul Rhoads has announced.

Mutcherson started 10 games during the 2014 season. The sophomore recorded 76 tackles and two interceptions in his career at Iowa State.

This announcement comes just weeks after wide receiver P.J. Harris was released from the team after being released for similar reasons.

Rhoads also announced on Friday three more players will transfer to other schools. Wide receiver Damein Lawry, tight end Alex Leslie and offensive lineman Duaron Williams are no longer with the team and are planning to transfer.
