Hundreds of Iowa students will be on the Iowa State campus to show off their LEGO robots paired with their science and technology skills.

The competition is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Jan. 17, at Howe and Hoover halls.

There are 72 teams of students ages nine to 14 who qualified from all over the state.

The teams’ robots will compete in a series of tasks or missions.

In addition to the robot competition, the students also have to prepare a project that presents a possible solution to a learning challenge today.

The event is free and open to the public.
