New episodes, new developments for Netflix

The widely used, widely loved online streaming service has a ton to be excited about. Let us start with the new material. As far as movies go, Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained starring Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio was just added. Throughout this movie we follow a freed slave and a bounty hunter on a hunt to find Django’s wife, a German-speaking slave owned by DiCaprio’s character.

For comedy shows, we have new Portlandia and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. With their fourth and ninth seasons respectively, you will now have some refreshing new comedy material to dive into.

Many of you will be happy to hear that Netflix is in the works with Paramount Television to make a Series of Unfortunate Events series. A dark, twisted series of books that many of us grew up reading, will no be available to stream, hopefully sooner rather than later. Although a movie on the series was made a decade ago, this recent adaption will ideally provide us a look through a different lens.

With more and more online streaming services aiming to take a chunk out of Netflix’s following, it is no surprise that Netflix continues to come out with great material.
