The ISU swimmers finished second at the Kansas Classic on Nov. 23, the best finish for an Iowa State team at the event since 1985.

A freshmen duo led the Cyclones this weekend, with Kasey Roberts and Danica Delaquis finishing first and second respectively in the 200 breaststroke. Roberts finished with a 2 minute, 20 second time, which is a new season best for Iowa State.

Junior Marissa Engel also collected a season best with her 2:00.84 time in the 200 backstroke, which put her in second place for the event.

Kansas finished first in the meet, followed by Iowa State in second place. Northern Iowa, Nebraska-Omaha and Tabor College finished behind the two Big 12 schools.

The ISU divers will head to Iowa City from Dec. 5 to Dec. 7 for the Iowa Invitational.
