In an attempt to win their second straight game in Jack Trice Stadium, the Iowa State Cyclones came up short. No. 18 Oklahoma (6-2, 3-2 Big 12) dominated the Cyclones (2-6, 0-5 Big 12) on Nov. 1 with a score of 59-14.

The Sooners took an early lead, scoring twice in just over five minutes of play. They scored once more in the first quarter before the Cyclones were able to get on the scoreboard in the early moments of the second quarter on a Sam Richardson 18-yard touchdown run.

The Cyclones weren’t able to get much going after that. Oklahoma continued to move the ball down the field throughout the rest of the game. The Sooners finished the contest with 751 total yards and 510 rushing yards.

The ISU defense took a big hit early, when senior linebacker Jevohn Miller suffered a knee injury on the second drive of the game. It was soon reported that Miller’s injury will sideline him for the rest of the season.

Iowa State will head to Lawrence, Kan. on Nov. 8 to take on the Kansas Jayhawks.
