Game notes: Iowa State beats TCU 1-0

Iowa State won their first conference game of the season in their season finally against TCU 1-0 on Oct. 31. 

Here is a quick recap of the game:

-Iowa State’s goal came in the final minute of the game. Adalie Schmidt was able to find the back of the net on an assist from Koree Willer with about 30 seconds left in the game.

-Prior to that goal, the game had been back and forth all night long. Both teams had multiple scoring opportunities that were ultimately turned away by the opposing team’s defense and goalkeeper.

-Andrea Swanson ends her career with 237 saves.

-Adalie Schmidt’s game-winning goal was her fourth goal this season and the fourth of her career.

-Koree Willer’s assist is the eighth assist of her career and the sophomore now has 36 career points. 

-The Cyclones final record this season was 7-11 overall and 1-7 in Big 12 play.
