ISU basketball rounds out roster as suspensions are lifted

ISU coach Fred Hoiberg just added two more weapons to an arsenal that has already amassed an 87 point-per-game average through two contests.

Sophomore guard Matt Thomas and redshirt junior Abdel Nader are back in the Cyclone rotation, having been reinstated after serving out their penalties for separate drunk driving arrests, which saw each player suspended for three games.

The ISU bench has struggled to find production early in the season, as senior Daniel Edozie is averaging a mere 2.5 points per night.

Iowa State’s other frequently used substitute throughout its first two wins is redshirt sophomore Sherron Dorsey-Walker, who has totaled and even smaller average output of only two points per game.

Read here about how Thomas and Nader will enhance the ISU team in its next match up against Alabama on Nov. 24 in Kansas City, Missouri.
