The ISU women’s basketball team improved to 3-0 on its young season Sunday after beating the Cincinnati Bearcats 85-54.

After holding a mere eight-point lead at halftime, the Cyclones went on a run to start the second half and never looked back. They outscored the Bearcats 20-9 on their opening push in the second half, and were able to sustain that lead through the end of the game.

Brynn Williamson once again led the Cyclones in scoring, finishing the game with 17 points. Both Nikki Moody and Seanna Johnson followed Williamson with 13 points apiece, and Bryanna Fernstrom finished with 12.

The team will travel to Moraga, Calif. later this week to play in the St. Mary’s Thanksgiving Tournament. Iowa State will play Wyoming on Nov. 28, and will close out the trip against St. Mary’s the next day on Nov. 29.
