Pink Floyd, Foo Fighters release new music

Every week hundreds upon hundreds of artists release their music to the public, some bands making more of a splash than others. This week the talk of the town/campus is Pink Floyd, who released their first project in over 20 years, and Foo Fighters who released their eighth studio album.

Let us start with Pink Floyd, a band whose following is as large and diverse as any group out there. Many of our generation’s parents grew up listening to them, but it is not foreign for younger ears to follow them as well. With “The Endless River”, we are indulged in sounds and resonances from countless instruments. With only one track having vocals, it may be a little different feel for those not familiar with their work. If you are not that familiar with them and would like to check out what they sounded like 40 years ago, it would not be a bad idea to check out their album “The Dark Side Of The Moon”.

As far as the Foo Fighters go, they have been a staple in the music industry for some time now, always coming out with solid projects to satisfy their fans and novice listeners alike. Headed by Dave Grohl, this Seattle-based band currently has an airing HBO series covering their recording process on their latest record “Sonic Highways”. With a show, a new album (both of the same name) and a cult like following that has been building up for almost 20 years, watch for this album to have success among critics and everyday listeners alike.
