Agriculture Career Day Preview

The Agriculture Career Day will begin today at 9 a.m. and last until 3 p.m. It will take place at the Lied Recreation Athletic Center.

The event last year attracted 225 employers and upwards of 2,500 students. More than 250 employers and a record number of students are expected to attend today’s Agriculture Career Day.

An increase in the number of recruiters at this year’s Agriculture Career Day highlights the growing demand for students in agriculture and related sectors.

The rise in the number of employers also illustrates the strong reputation that Iowa State students have achieved in the field of agriculture. The placement rate of graduates in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences has been at least 97% for 17 years in a row.

John Deere, Hormel Foods Corporation, and the Iowa Soybean Association are three distinguished companies that will be looking for future interns and employees at the Agriculture Career Day.
