Cyclone Hockey lost on a last-second goal to its Central States Collegiate Hockey League rival Lindenwood Oct. 17 by a score of 3-2 at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena.

The majority of the first period came as even as it gets. The No. 10 ranked Cyclones (6-4-0-1, 2-4-0-1 ACHA) and the No. 18 ranked Lions (2-4-1-0 ACHA) both put ten shots on net and surrendered a power play. The only difference came in the form of a power-play goal with 39.2 seconds left that put Lindenwood up 1-0 going into the first intermission.

The Cyclones answered back in a big way in the second period scoring two goals. They had a little late-period magic as well with Zack Johnson scoring a goal with 21 seconds left. Going into the second intermission the Cyclones led the Lions 2-1.

The Lions came back swinging with a power-play goal from Mike Lozano to tie the game at two. With one second left, Lindenwood snuck a puck passed Matt Cooper on the power play to complete its third-period comeback.

The Lions scored all of their goals on the power play.

Cyclone Hockey finishes its two game series with against Lindenwood at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18 at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena.
