Players to watch in matchup vs. Kirkwood CC

Cathlin Bingham
The sophomore left fielder went 4-for-4 with four runs and three runs batted-in in Iowa State’s second game against Iowa Central on Oct. 12. As she bats second in the order, look for Bingham to reach base early and scores runs, and then, in the later innings, bring home some additional runs off the bat.
Kaila Konz
The freshman outfielder went 3-for-5 in the doubleheader last weekend, driving home four runs and crossing the plate once herself. The Iowa Central matchup was Konz’s first start in the batting order, so look for her to build on the confidence she has built and continue to drive the ball against Kirkwood.
Paris Imholz
The senior right-handed pitcher came in as relief for Bri Weilbacher in the second matchup of the doubleheader against Iowa Central. In the three innings that she worked, she shut out the Tritons on just a single hit. Look for Imholz to provide a composed presence on the mound this weekend if the starters begin to struggle.
