Entourage: Why We Love It So Much

With the filming now finished for the upcoming film continuation of the hit HBO show “Entourage,” we thought it’d be fun to look back on the show that ran for seven years and recap why we loved it so much.

1. First things first, Ari Gold. Ari Gold was played by Jeremy Piven and was absolutely one of the most quotable parts of the show. I don’t think there’s been more of a dick-like character that’s been so loved.

2. Next is of course Johnny Drama, quite possibly the gayest straight man on the planet. From his insane wardrobe choices, his unrelenting persistence despite consistent letdowns, and his extremely feminine life choices, we all know we loved Drama. VICTORY!

3. How can we forget the celebrity cameos? Gary Busey, Larry David, Bob Saget, James Cameron, Jessica Alba, Kanye West and even the producer Mark Wahlberg himself all made hysterical cameos as themselves in the show. Being able to bounce the fictional characters’ lives off of real stars was something special that the show achieved.

4. Lastly, if it wasn’t any of those aspects, it had to be how relatable the characters were while at the same time the story was such fun fiction. The story centered on a couple boys from Queens who took a chance on a close friend/brother and who made it big. It was such a fun story that was both insane yet attainable, and had characters that we could all relate to in our own friend groups. Like Turtle for instance. Everyone took jabs Turtle almost the whole series about how he never did anything but let’s face it, if your friend became famous and you had the chance to do exactly what Turtle did, you’d probably do the same thing.
