Ag Olympics events

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences is celebrating CALS Week this week. Wednesday’s event was the Ag Olympics in the Hansen Agricultural Learning Center.

Instead of swimming, gymnastics or track and field, olympians, or students, went through an agriculture-themed obstacle course.

  • Teams were stuck in animal pens
  • Teams escaped from the pens
  • Each team member carried two hay bales across the arena
  • Teams had to wheelbarrow race
  • Teams had to fish washers and nuts out of a bucket
  • Teams putted a golf ball into a hole
  • Teams then had to dig a hole to mimic planting a tree
  • To end, each member had to try to lasso a fake cow

Winners of the Ag Olympics:

First place: Agriculture Marketing and Management Organization (AMMO)

Second: Agriculture Systems Technology Club

Third: Beginning Farmer’s Network

Fourth: Agriculture Business Club
