New movie trailer Thursdays: John Wick

Each Thursday we’ll be bringing you updates on the newest movie trailers that you may have heard of, and others that flew under the radar. This week’s movie trailer is one that was released about a week ago, and features the widely debated action star, Keanu Reeves.
After becoming a massive action star in the “Matrix” series, Reeves starred in various films, never really having a mold that he fit. He’s been in films we’ve loved and ones we’ve definitely questioned, but yet we still enjoy him. After having a not-so-good year in 2013 with “47 Ronin” and “Man of Tai Chi,” Reeves quietly started his next project which we bring to you today, ‘John Wick.”
The film’s trailer opens with Reeves’ character living a quiet life with a Beagle puppy by his side and a vintage Shelby Mustang to play around in. As the trailer progresses, he gets attacked in his home and his car is stolen and his puppy isn’t left in good shape either. From the dialogue and actions of the characters being introduced through the trailer, we get the idea that Reeves’ is not one to mess with.
Overall, the trailer is well done, especially for an action film, and the song choice of “Brain Reaction” by Break Science is a great one. As far as Keanu Reeves movies go, this one looks pretty typical. When I say typical, I mean mediocre acting but one kick butt ride of an action film.
