Only two matches into the season, the ISU volleyball team is bringing home familiar hardware.

Libero Caitlin Nolan was named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Sept. 1.

Nolan, a junior, backed up three-time Big 12 Libero of the Year Kristen Hahn for two years in Ames before making her first career start Aug. 29 against No. 3 Stanford.

Nolan made an immediate impact for the Cyclones by leading all players in digs with a career-high 19 against Stanford and another match-high of 15 digs against No. 13 Florida State on Aug. 31.

Nolan currently sits atop the conference with a clip of 5.67 digs per set.
