There’s no better way to beat the heat during summer than with some ice cold sweets in hand. From frozen bananas to strawberry popsicles, there’s always the perfect treat to keep you from melting in the sun.

Try some of these delicious Pinterest recipes to enjoy throughout summer:

Raspberry Lemonade Smoothie

Ingredients:

• 1 can of lemonade concentrate

• 1 1/2 cups of frozen raspberries

• 1 tray of ice

• 1 can of water

Directions:

• Blend the ingredients in a blender.

Optional: Add more ice to make it thicker.

Frozen Chocolate Covered Banana Treats

Ingredients:

• 6 bananas

• 12 popsicle sticks

• Magic Shell chocolate syrup

• Toppings of choice — sprinkles, chopped nuts, coconut, mini M&M’s, mini chocolate chips, crushed candies

Directions:

• Slice the bananas in half.

• Slide a popsicle stick inside each banana about half way.

• Place the bananas on a cookie sheet.

• Freeze the bananas for at least four hours.

• Pour the Magic Shell into a tall, thin glass.

• Pour each topping onto a shallow plate that is larger than a banana.

• Remove the frozen bananas from the freezer.

• Dip the bananas in the Magic Shell and immediately roll in the desired topping.

• Return the treats to the freezer until you are ready to serve them.

Lemonade

Ingredients:

• 1 cup sugar

• 6 large lemons, seeded and juiced

Directions

• Boil the sugar and one cup of water in a small saucepan.

• Stir occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved and let it cool.

• Stir the syrup, lemon juice and four cups of cold water together in a large pitcher and chill.

Frozen Coconut Mango Pops

Ingredients:

• 3/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk beverage

• 1 3/4 cups diced ripe mango

• 1 cup canned light coconut milk

• 1/4 cup sugar

• 2 tablespoons honey

• Popsicle mold

Directions:

• Puree the mango in a blender with 1/4 cup of the coconut milk beverage and sugar.

• Blend until smooth and set it aside.

• In a medium bowl, combine the remaining coconut milk beverage, canned coconut milk and the honey.

• Mix well until it’s combined thoroughly.

• Pour about two tablespoons of mango puree into each popsicle mold, then pour in the coconut milk mix until all the molds are filled.

• Place the molds in the freezer and freeze until the popsicles are solid (about five to six hours).

Homemade Frozen Yogurt

Ingredients:

• 3 cups yogurt, flavor of choice

• Sugar to taste, finished product will be less sweet

• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract, unless using vanilla yogurt

Directions:

• Stir all of the ingredients together.

• Pour the mixture into an ice cream machine and process for around 12 minutes. If no ice cream machine is available, freeze the mixture then re-blend it in a blender.

• To swirl the mixture, pour the finished product into a piping bag, set it in the freezer for about 20 minutes to firm up even more, then squeeze it out. You can simply scoop it out of the machine with a spoon as well.

Virgin Banana Pina Colada

Ingredients:

• 2 ripe bananas

• 1 cup diced pineapple

• 1 cup pineapple juice

• 1/2 cup light coconut milk

• 3 cups ice cubes

Directions:

• Puree the bananas, diced pineapple, pineapple juice, coconut milk and ice in a blender and serve.

Strawberry Orange Pops

Ingredients:

• 2 cups orange juice

• 1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt

• 1 cup frozen whole strawberries, thawed

Directions:

• Stir the orange juice and yogurt together and set the mixture aside.

• Blend the berries until they’re smooth and stir in the juice mixture.

• Spoon the mixture evenly into plastic popsicle molds.

• Insert plastic popsicle sticks and freeze for eight hours.

Blueberry Cream Slushy

Ingredients:

• 1 cup frozen blueberries

• 1 cup frozen strawberries

• 1 cup pineapple/orange juice blend

• 1 cup vanilla yogurt

• 2 teaspoons sugar

• 6 ice cubes

Directions:

• Place the blueberries, strawberries, juice, yogurt and sugar into a blender and blend them until smooth.

• Add ice and blend again. Serve.

Iced Fruit Punch

Ingredients:

• Assorted fruit juices

• 1/4 cup ginger ale

• 1/4 cup seltzer water

Directions:

• Freeze the juice in ice trays.

• Fill a glass with 1/2 cup of flavored ice cubes, 1/4 cup of ginger ale and 1/4 cup of seltzer water, then serve.
