After scoring three goals in the ISU soccer team’s 4-1 win at University of Oklahoma on Sunday, ISU midfielder Emily Goldstein was named College Sports Madness women’s soccer Big 12 Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Goldstein recorded the hat trick and more than doubled her season goal total. All three goals were scored in the second half of the Cyclones’ win, which also gave Iowa State its first Big 12 win of the season.

The three goals in one game tied Goldstein for fourth in school history and her five goals on the season ties her for the team lead with Jennifer Dominguez. She is only the eighth Cyclone to score three goals in a game.

Goldstein and the Cyclones (7-7-2, 1-3-1 Big 12) will take on Baylor (8-3-3, 1-2-1 Big 12) at 7 p.m. on Oct. 18 at the Cyclone Sports Complex.
