Coach Fred Hoiberg has added another transfer to his roster.

DeAndre Kane, a former Marshall guard, will play for Iowa State next season after choosing the school on Thursday, May 30. Due to Kane’s status as a graduate, he will be allowed to play immediately.

The 6-foot-4 Kane, a three-year starter for the Thundering Herd, averaged 15.1 points per game as well as seven assists per game during the 2012-2013 season. Kane also notched 50 steals and 124 rebounds.

Kane finished his career at Marshall with a 15.6 scoring average and was twice a Conference USA second team selection.

Kane is the second, off-season transfer for the basketball team. On May 21st, Iowa State announced that Abdel Nader, a former Northern Illinois player, would be joining program.
